The Lockport Porters wrestling team had no problem dispelling an Amos Alonzo Stagg team that was giving up forfeits at several weights on their way to a 61-12 victory Wednesday night, bumping the 4th ranked Porters' record to 11-2 on the season.

Although Lockport was on the receiving end of six forfeits in the dual, the Porters still came out ahead in five of the eight contested matchups.

Mike Scurlock began the dual for Lockport at 160 pounds, losing by fall during the middle of the second period. The Porters responded quickly however, as Nick Dado managed to score a fall in overtime in his match at 170 pounds. Austin Atwood came out strong and built up an early lead in his 182 pound match, but couldn't hold off his opponents comeback, and dropped an overtime decision 9-7. Yusif Salah and David Balderrama received forfeits at 195 and 220 pounds, before freshman Ronald Tucker continued his fantastic season with a fall in 2:22, improving his record to 13-0 on the season.

In what would be the marquee match-up of the dual, 106 had Lockport's Anthony Molton, coming in with a 9-0 record, taking on Stagg's Domenic Zaccone. Last year, Molton placed 5th at 84 pounds in his IKWF bracket, while Zaccone was the champion of the 95 pound weight class. Zaccone came out strong and built an early 4-1 lead by the end of the first period. Molton was able to come back and close the gap, however, but not enough, as the pair traded takedowns and escapes, and Molton came up just short at a final score of 9-8.

That would be the last loss for the Porters on the night. Matt Kronsbein and Garrett Golob received forfeits at 113 and 120, while Brandon Ramos scored a 16-5 major decision at 126. Brendan Ramsey, sporting a fantastic right eye tonight, won by fall in 3:50, followed by Baylor Fernandes doing the same in 5:12.

To close out the night, Zach Reese came out on top in another close match, scoring a tight 3-2 decision at 145 pounds, while George Wolfe received a forfeit to end the dual at 152 with a 61-12 score in Lockport's favor.
